Functional description

Attenuverter 1

The module has one attenuverter at the top, marked “1”.

The top knob sets the gain of the input signal from the input jack. If the knob is to 12 o’clock the gain is set to zero. If the knob is turned clockwise to the right, the gain is increased until it gets the same as the input level. If the knob is turned counterclockwise to the left, the signal is inverted, and the gain is increased, until it reaches its maximum level (but inverted).

The signal is then fed through the level shift knob where you can shift the incoming signal up or down.

The output is fed directly to next stage in the chain which is the input 2 jack of attenuator 2. This internal connection will be broken if you insert a cable into the in2 jack.

The knobs are linear..

Attenuator 2 & 3

The module has two attenuators, marked “2” and “3”.

The top knob of each of the two attenuators attenuates the gain of the input signal from the input jack from the original level of the input signal down to zero.

The signal is then fed through the level shift knob where you can shift the incoming signal up or down.

The output is fed directly to the next input jack in the chain. This internal connection will be broken if you insert a cable into the in3 or multiple-in jack.

The knobs are linear.

Buffered multiples

The last stage of the module is a buffered multiple with 1 input to 3 active, buffered outputs.
