How can I fasten the add-on PCB for an Otto?

The Otto has a pin-strip on the back where you can attach add-on-PCB’s of your own.

The add-on is attached by sticking it on to the pins.

If you wish to fasten the add-on more permanent, you can do that in a number of ways. For example:

  • Plastic stripes: between the jacks and around the add-on. This will build sideways depending on the thickness of the plastic stripes.
  • Rubber bands: between the jacks and around the add-on. Better, because the rubber can be squeezed when mounting modules tight side by side.
  • Glue: Use a little glue on the plastic parts of the pinstrip and header. This will be more permanent and will not build sideways.
  • Soldering: Solder your add-on directly to the Otto pins.

If you have multiple modules close together it will be important to not build sideways. Else you will not be able to mount them side by side.
