manikk AR4 is a quad AR envelope generator.
Each envelope generator has individual attack and release controls.
When the AR gets a high level on the gate input jack, it starts the envelope from zero up to maximum voltage. The time it takes to reach the maximum level is set by the attack time knob.
When the gate is released, the envelope decreases its output back to zero according to the release time knob.

Features for each AR:

• Gate input jack

• Envelope output jack

The output levels for all 4 envelopes are unipolar from about 0 to +8V.

The gate input signal must have a voltage above 2.5V to start the envelope.

AR 1 & 2 are faster with shorter attack and release times: attack up to about 5s and release up to about 60s or more.

AR 3 & 4 are slower with longer attack and release times, about double the times compared to AR1 & AR2. (The first few modules had a shorter release, see tricks and hacks for more info).

All outputs have a 1K resistor before the signal is sent to the output-jack.

You can for example use this module together with Noise and some VCA’s to create percussion sounds.
