The drum mode on the OUTBREAK is a bit special.
Select the mode and number of voices as usual, but set the mode to drum and choose the number of voices you want to use for drum-triggers. See here for more information about modes, voices and channel.
The drum triggers are allocated from the bottom and then up. All the other modes are allocated from the top and down.
The drum-triggers are activated by keynotes on the base midi channel, starting from key 36 and up. Key 36 is a C somewhere on your keyboard. You may need to transpose your keyboard to find the correct C-key. The leds will only light up when you press the correct keys.
The drum-mode is a “mixed-mode” between drum-triggers and mono-voices. The drum-triggers always uses the base channel. The mono-voices will allocate the next midi-channel an upwards.
This arrangement lets you keep your patch-cables plugged in for your oscillators and drums all the time. Even if you change the mode, you can still use your oscillators without re-patching things.
The drum-triggers will output a gate on the jacks in columns S, M and R, when you play the correct key-note-number on the base midi channel.
The M-gate-triggers also outputs the velocity on the CVK-jack.
The R-gate-triggers also outputs the velocity on the CVF-jack.
In these examples the base midi channel is 1.
